Billing Specialist

We act as business partners, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing of global deals to meet deadlines and optimize cash flow. The Billing Specialist will report to the Billing Team Lead. The Role: As a Billing Specialist, your responsibilities will include managing the team's mailbox, processing purchase orders, handling customer onboarding requests, uploading portal invoices, invoicing for both professional services and SaaS. You will collaborate with various departments such as Collection, Finance Operations, and Deal Desk to achieve shared objectives. The role requires good independent judgment to evaluate and resolve unique situations effectively. The work you’ll do: Onboard clients into the billing system. Upload invoices to portals. Support daily team communications as requests for action are received in the team inbox. Process financial documents, invoices, and purchase orders. Responsible for accurate and timely invoicing and related administrative tasks. Generate invoices for both professional services and SaaS offerings. Actively collaborate with Collection, Finance Operations, and Deal Desk teams to ensure smooth processes and achieve common goals. The qualifications you need: A BA/BS degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, and/or Linguistic. First experience in a billing, AR or similar role within finance. Business fluency in English as a Must-have Strong communications skills to deal with different internal stakeholders and in multinational teams. Very comfortable with numbers. Target driven, quick leaner and team player. An independent and entrepreneurial way of working. Located in Madrid to work one-site from the Celonis Madrid office.
