Location: This role will work onsite at our office located in Boston, MA, with flexibility to be remote a few days a week. Travel: Up to 20%, domestic. Job ID: 1736 The Role: IonQ's Quantum Memories team is looking for a Lead Technical Strategist / Solutions Architect to help bridge deep technical R&D with our commercial go-to-market strategy. You'll translate cutting-edge quantum networking, sensing, and compute technology into clear value propositions for customers — while feeding customer insight back into our internal roadmap. This is a high-visibility, individual-contributor role for someone who's equally comfortable in a room with physicists, government program managers, and enterprise executives. It's technical sales and strategy, not commissioned sales — you'll be judged on deal progression, roadmap impact, and customer trust, not quota. Responsibilities: Build go-to-market assets that clearly explain the unique capabilities of IonQ's integrated quantum networking, sensing, and compute systems Partner with the sales team to move customers through the funnel, leading technical discussions that explore use-case fit Work cross-functionally with engineering, R&D, and program management to represent customer needs accurately and ensure delivery aligns with what was promised Channel customer and market feedback into technology roadmap planning, helping leadership prioritize what gets built next
