Description
TransferGo is a growing fintech scale-up on a mission to champion financial freedom with care. We strive to provide tailored, more affordable financial services that make people's hard-earned money go further. Now in our 14th year, with close to 400 employees in offices across Europe and the UK, we’re crafting a brilliant, relevant product that makes a difference in people's lives and the well-being of their families. We’ve come this far by building a talented, diverse workforce on a fair culture and our strong values. Having this strong team of employees, we can serve those who really need our product to make their lives better. The Role This is not an administrative support role. The Chief of Staff (CoS) is a hands-on strategic and operational partner to the CEO — someone who can turn a priority into a finished outcome without needing a team to do it through. Most of your time will go to owning a small number of high-stakes, cross-functional initiatives — strategic partnerships, consumer business development, and cross-organizational process and ownership mapping — while also acting as a strategic sounding board for the CEO on company priorities and goal-tracking. The mandate is deliberately end-to-end: projects come directly from the CEO, and you're expected to run with them — deciding where to act independently, where to recommend a course of action, and where your role is simply to facilitate a decision owned by someone else. Strategic thinking is what we're hiring for first; you'll also cover business-as-usual work in the gaps until the project pipeline is fully built out. The role is 12 month fixed term contract maternity cover. What You'll Do You'll sit at the center of the business, with direct exposure to the CEO, the leadership team, and the company's most important strategic bets. It's a high-autonomy, high-visibility role for someone who wants outsized scope early and is motivated by outcomes rather than title. Own end-to-end delivery of the CEO's top strategic priorities — turning intent into concrete plans, decisions, and follow-through across strategic partnerships, consumer business development, and cross-functional process/ownership mapping. Pe
rsonally drive 2–3 flagship cross-functional initiatives at a time as the named owner — not by delegating to a team, but by doing the work yourself and pulling in the right people as needed. Represent the CEO and company directly with select external partners, including scoping and sourcing new partnership and business development opportunities — bringing enough financial and remittance fluency to hold your own in those conversations. Act as a trusted extension of the CEO — representing their thinking and priorities accurately, and increasingly operating and communicating independently on their behalf.
