Software Engineer, Edge

This role is located in Somerville, MA - We are a hybrid work environment and are in the office 3+ days/per week. What skills do I need? 2-5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally building production web applications. Strong proficiency in TypeScript is required. Familiarity with API design and integration (RESTful services). Proficiency in unit testing, integration testing, and debugging practices. Works well both as an individual and as part of a team. Nice to Have: Familiarity with React, React Native/Expo (mobile) and/or Electron (desktop) app development. Experience with MacOS and Windows platform development. Experience with hardware/device integrations. Knowledge of Kubernetes/container orchestration and microservices deployment. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment stra tegies. Comfortable using AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, or equivalent) to land production PRs. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain features across Edge's product surfaces, such as the Tulip Player application, device drivers, and cloud microservices. Partner with product, design, and QA to scope and ship features end-to-end, from prototype to production.
