The Team: Upstart’s Legal team partners closely with Capital Markets and Finance to support the funding strategies that power our lending platform. The team works across securitizations, whole loan sales, and other liquidity channels, helping structure transactions and manage legal risk as the business grows. As a Senior Legal Counsel, Capital Markets, you will support the execution of key financing transactions and provide practical legal guidance across investor-facing activities. You’ll work cross-functionally to help scale processes and ensure consistency across a growing set of products and funding structures

How you’ll make an impact Support capital markets and finance teams on purchase and sale agreements, securitizations, and other liquidity arrangements, as well as day-to-day legal support Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents with institutional investors, including asset managers, private equity firms, hedge funds, and pension funds
